The free program for treatment of stuttering  of  RC FOR BIOCYBERNETICS: Auto - DAF - CAF

 This  program is developed  in RC FOR BIOCYBERNETICS and intended for correction of stuttering and speech spasms of adults, and also of children, having a sufficient vocabulary. 

This  program combines the following functions:
1. Auto - DAF is the  function of the delayed acoustic feedback for treatment of stuttering and logoneurosis, which is automatically adjusted for the  speech of each patient and automatically trains the correct speech breath. The expert observes the dynamics of  individualization in  the log  file. Change of speech – in the wav  file. If necessary, these files can be sent to our expert.
2. CAF – conjugating  acoustic feedback. Connects the low-frequency breaks of speech, arising during the moment of speech spasms.
3.      FAF-function can be used free of charge, owing to the built in settings of  the "standard" sound cards АС97,Creative, etc. (95 % of computers already have them). We strongly  recommend to establish the voice  lowering for 2,  maximum 3 semitones. 

Before use of the program it is necessary:
1.  Adjust  a sound card, as shown in the file Sound_Blaster.doc.
2. Listen  to the file Tak_pravilno.wav as the sample of   speech rate  at the correct use of the program.
3. Trainings (reading, reading-retelling, conversation) are performed till  the sensation of slight  weariness, and, as a rule, not more than 30-50 minutes.  

Efficiency of the  free Auto-DAF-CAF-software:
1. Directly during training (headphones +  microphone are used, speech is slowed down) - 99 %.
2. Medium-term improvement of speech fluency at the real life normal rate  - 55-60 %.
3. Final efficiency (of complete  treatment) - 10-15 %.
